Essential oil should not be burned directly with the paraffin oil. It will burn off the oil very quickly, and the flame will smoke. With the diffuser attachment, the flame simply evaporates the water and oil that has been placed in the dish above it. Only a few drops of concentrated essential oil are needed to have a fabulous aroma emanate from our Rock Candle Diffuser.
